Fleur de Champagne Brut 1er cru - made from 100% Premier Cru grapes from the Grande Vallée de la Marne, the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs - is the entry level non vintage, and can be distinguished from the Brut Non Vintage edition by a red neck ribbon on the bottle They call it “ Fleur” because at his first tasting, Raymond Duval-Leroy, distinguished a marked parfume of white flowers (as it is in fact giving the  predominace of Chardonnay grapes). Light and fresh, it is  a great aperitif and an excellent way to start the lunch.It comes in 37.5cl, 75cl, 150cl and  300cl bottles. The blend 80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, a blend of twenty crus from Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. Tasting notes Eye Light yellow with a hint of green. A rather sharp mousse, whic fades quickly. Nose An obvious lemon sherbet nose. Mouth Full, very fresh palate, with firm acidity. Peach and melon dominating Food pairing It is perfect to accompany with eggs dishes such as quiches, frittatas, as an aperitif and even with light fruit desserts.
