Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV

Cuvee: Extra-Brut
Vintage: Multi-Vintage

As the expression of a House style and the hallmark of any winemaker, safeguarding the quality and character of a non-vintage Champagne is a great challenge. The great skill of Perrier-Jouët's cellar master Herve Deschamps has been to maintain this consistency over the decades using his vast experience and valuable palette of reserve wines.

The Blend

Grand Brut reflects the House terroir: a blend of 25% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, yet a wine which is light and elegant from the exceptional quality of the Chardonnay component. 15 - 18% reserve wines are used.

Grapes are sourced from around 40 different crus. Cuvee spends minimum 30 months on the lees before disgorgement.

Tasting Notes

Elegant & balanced. Attractive bouquet, with youthful, delicate creamy hints and a touch of yeasty autolysis. Lively, persistent bubbles with clean, soft, creamy fruit, excellent intensity and a lingering finish.

Dosage: 11.5g/l

Food Pairing

In contrast to many Non Vintages, this is the perfect aperitif Champagne. Equally, it will work well with sushi, carpaccio of scallops or light poached fish dishes.
