Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label

Cuvee: Brut Non-Vintage
Vintage: Multi-Vintage

Brut Non Vintage is eventually one of the wines most important for every champagne House since it reveals its art of champagne blending. In that, Veuve Clicquot shows its skills, blending more than fifty crus, with the predominance of Pinot Noir (56%) – which is so typical Clicquot – one third of Chardonnay (28%) and a soft touch of Pinot Meunier (16%).

With such a blending, VeuveClicquot Yellow Label is a clear example of harmony between delicacy and power.

Blending

Grapes from 50 to 60 different crus, or growing areas, are used to produce the Veuve Cliquot Brut Yellow Label:

50 to 55% Pinot Noir ensures the structure so typical of the House wines.

15 to 20% Pinot Meunier rounds out the blen.

28 à 33% Chardonnay provides the elegance and sophistication essential to a perfectly balanced wine.

These figures vary slightly from year to year according to conditions.

The blending team must also comb through a high proportion of reserve wines(between 25% and 40%) kept for 10 to 20 years, to ensure the continuity of the House style.

The strength of this golden-yellow wine is immediately perceived to the nose while its complexity develop on the palate. The initial notes of fruit are followed by more discreet aromas of brioche and vanilla when the wine is allowed to age in the bottle. Brut Yellow Label offers a clear balance of finesse and forcefulness.
