Elaborated on the occasion of the 250thanniversary of the House, in 2010, the Extra Age Brut is made only withGrands Crus et Premiers Crus of three great years - 1999, 2002 and 2003 - traditionally fermented without using the malolactic fermentation and an ageing on the lees for over 5 years so to reveal the richness of the aromas of the champagne. The Extra Age Brut is a complex and fresh champagne, with a good balance between the power of Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay. The blend is40% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir. Tasting Notes Eye Vibrant straw yellow colour with fine bubbles. Nose Aromas of fig, winter pear and honey, combined with bready notes reminiscent of french pastries. Palate Full bodied and complex with a finale of finesse and freshness. Food Pairing With a strong backbone on the palate, Extra Age Brut can be served with rich flavourful dishes such as scallops and truffles, spicy Lobster Gratin and Roast Partridge or Pheasant.
