Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé NV

Cuvee: Rosé
Vintage: Multi-Vintage

The House’s gourmet treat: a generous and sensual wine, intense yet fresh. As with most rosé Champagnes, Blason Rosé is lent added structure and depth by the final addition of up to 15% red wine – in this case from the village of Bouzy (renowned for its reds),  which contributes the fruit character and attractive salmon pink colour. The current cuvée is based on the 2003 vintage.

The Blend

The assemblage (45% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier) includes around 15% reserve wines and spends two to three years on the lees before disgorgement. Grapes are sourced from around 30 different crus. 12 – 15% red wine is added from  the Aÿ or Vincelles crus and 10 – 12% reserve wines are added to the cuvée. The cuvée spends a minimum of 26 months on the lees.
