Duval-Leroy Clos de Bouvieres 2005

Cuvee: Blanc de Blancs
Vintage: 2005
Made from a special plot in Vertus that’s been in the family for a long time, Clos de Bouvieres 2005 has it’s own special method of production, 100% chardonnay, partially fermented in oak barrels to contribute fine woody notes and partially fermented in stainless steel tanks for mineral purity. The age of the vines – 40-50 years - allows to see their climatic evolution, while their mid-slope position, facing due east, provides exceptional conditions, producing one of the earliest growth cycles in the area and enriching the fruits with an intense concentration of flavour, giving a most favourable effect on the senses. Another unique quality of this vineyard is the fact that no insecticides or pesticides are used. The Clos des Bouveries cuvee is a vintage champagne every year. The 2005 climatic conditions allowed a healthy harvest notable for a good balance between sugar and acidity The blend 100% Chardonnay Tasting notes Eye Silver tints shaded by a yellow-green colour.
