Bollinger Grande Année 2004

Cuvee: Prestige Cuvée
Vintage: 2004
Bollinger La Grande Année champagne – 2004 vintage - is produced entirely by fermentation in barrels, generating an infinitesimal oxidation, for optimum ageing potential of the wines. 2004 was characterised by a relatively dry winter and spring but a cold, wet end to the summer. All the conditions were favourable to give their grapes the special qualities necessary for the very best vintages. The wines included in this Cuvée de Prestige are aged entirely in barrels, generating an infinitesimal oxidation, for optimum ageing potential of the wines. This champagne is aged in the cellar for more than twice the time required by the appellation (30 months for vintage champagne). The result is a powerful champagne with toasted bread and brandied fruit notes.
