Bruno Paillard Brut Millésime Assemblage 1995

Cuvee: Vintage
Vintage: 1995
Bruno Paillard's Millésime 1995 is made from a selection of grapes that came from 8 highly rated vineyards in the Champagne region. he aromas are complex, ranging from citrus fruits to red fruits and honey. The proportion of grape varieties that make up the blend is of 36% Chardonnay (from Côte des Blancs: Cramant, Chouilly, Le Mesnil sur Oger and Vertus), 45% Pinot Noir (from Montagne de Reims: Bouzy, Chigny and Rilly la Montagne) and 19% Pinot Meunier (from Vallée de la Marne: Damery). As always at Bruno Paillard’s, only the first pressing has been used. The weather conditions in 1995 followed a ritual pattern. A mild and very wet winter was followed by two warm fist weeks at the start of April. Budding began at the beginning of that month for the Chardonnay grapes. This early development came to a halt between mid-May and mid-June thanks to below average temperatures. Generous summer conditions then set in, allowing the flowering to take place in ideal conditions around 26th June. Harvest started on September 19th. Released in limited quantities and exclusively in 75 cl bottles. As always at Bruno Paillard’s, only the first pressing has been used.
