Loyal and determined, Thierry joined Piper-Heidsieck in 1998 to work alongside Chefs de Cave Daniel Thibault and then Régis Camus before becoming Master Cellar of Charles Heidsieck in 2012 after the acquisition of the fine champagne house by French private group EPI.
Dedicated to creating wines that honour the epicurean nature of the house’s founder “Charlie”, Thierry ensured the excellence of Charles Heidsieck champagnes.
His vision in making champagne of superior quality and unique style was very clear: “I aim for wines that are like an open book but which offer complexity and depth.”
He was named Sparkling Winemaker of the year 2014 by the prestigious International Wine Challenge.
