Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger Named President Of The Association Viticole Champenoise
Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger, President of the prestigious Champagne House carrying his name, was chosen by the Champagne Committee (Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne – CIVC) as the new President of the Association Viticole Champenoise (AVC).
Created by a pool of twenty-three Champagne Houses in 1898, AVC depends today by CIVC, to which it provides technical guidance, particularly in relation to the work in the vineyard and harvesting.
According to its new President, AVC will be focusing on continuing the pursuit of technical advances on quality and environmental friendly winemaking, together with the ongoing effort in ensuring the word “champagne” remains associated with excellence in quality.
