Demi-Sec Champagnes

The French term Demi-Sec champagne refers to the sweetest champagnes, with up to 50g per litre of residual sugar added to the champagne with the “liqueur d’expédition” before labelling and shipping. Demi-sec Champagnes are better suited to accompany desserts and sweet foods rather than main courses or to be drunk at aperitifs, for which Brut Champagnes are recommended.
